            I have been employed in behavioral health for 17 years and a counselor & therapist working in the addiction and mental health field since 2009. I approach all my clients with compassion and validation, since we are all a result of our environment, developmental experiences and genetic dynamics. For most people, current problematic behaviors were adaptive at one point and may now cause problems or fail to serve a useful purpose. With this premise, I am able to help people have compassion for themselves, improve their relationships, regulate emotions and alter behavior patterns.
             My experience comes from years as an addiction professional, psychotherapist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center/ Fairview, and program management in substance use disorder programs. I received my Masters degree at the University of St. Thomas & College of St. Catherine joint program. I completed my undergraduate degree in psychology at Augsburg College and additional undergraduate training in addiction at the University of Minnesota. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety and women's mental health issues.
